About Us
Karen FothergillI have always been interested in craft and photography and have dabbled in different crafts since I was a teenager. When my eldest daughter Kylie, asked if I could make her wedding invites in 2012, I was introduced to the world of papercraft. I was soon hooked and tried everything going. I spent many hours at the Glitter Pot in Burgess Hill attending classes and scrapbooking days. When AAll & Create hit the scene, realised my true style. I love mixed media and make cards for my family and friends and also sell them in a friend's art gallery.
I had been wanting to set up an online shop for a number of years but was finally inspired to get going during the first lockdown. I found Tracy Evan's online classes and this kept me occupied whilst at home and gave me my initial idea for my first set of dies. When my oldest grandson Kieran, finished his GCSE's 2021, I roped him in to get my ideas into a digital format ready for manufacture. My younger grandson, Dylan is ready and waiting to get involved in the packaging of the products. I first became friendly with Carole at Leonie's regular workshops in Rottingdean. We also started attending Anne Ruffle's Zentangling classes and soon became firm friends. This friendship was cemented during lockdown and we often shared our end products after Tracy's classes. I discussed my ideas with Carole and she thought other crafters would be interested, so this gave me the encouragement I needed to put my ideas into action. |
